Ray C's Cycle & Sports, Inc., was formed February 13, 1981, by Ray and Janet Clemens. We purchased an ongoing business named Jim Harrington's Sport Craft located at 1332 Imlay City Rd. in Lapeer, Michigan. During our first three years in the business, we determined that many of our customers who participated in motorsports activities were also fervent users of other types of motorsports equipment. We believed, for example, that people who ride motorcycles are more likely to snowmobile than non-riders.

Our vision was to create one dealership—a powersports dealership—which would provide customers a broad range of products and services to meet any and all of their power sports requirements. Three years later in February of 1984, we purchased Lapeer Sports Center at 1422 Imlay City Rd. We moved into the larger 1422 location and incorporated our business at that time.

We have been serving customers for over 25 years. In April of 2004, we expanded into two locations. The original Ray C's Cycle and Sports is now Ray C's Harley-Davidson/Buell of Lapeer. Right across the street is Ray C's Extreme Store. There is not another dealership in the country that is as dedicated to serving its customers entire powersporting needs than Ray C's. In the future, as new powersports-related products are developed, you can be assured that Ray C's will be in the forefront of the dealers servicing and supplying them to the public.
