Motorcycle riding means that you take full responsibility for your own safety. Here are a couple of tips that can enhance your riding experience.

  • Watch the condition of your motorcycle and you

Perform a one minute walk around while your bike is warming up and you put on your gear. Check all lights, turn signals, brake lights, and horn, and grab the front and rear tires with your hand to make sure tires are full or air. It only takes a few seconds and it could save your life. Make sure you drink enough water so you don't become faint from dehydration. Don't ride if  you're too tired or if you've been drinking—those two elements definitely impair your judgment and drinking and driving is against the law. Keep yourself comfortable if you're wet or too hot that will take your mind off the road where it should be. Forget everyday worries and problems. They say that motorcycling keeps you in a Zen state of mind—keep it that way!

  • Practice makes perfect

Practice using your brakes and swerving around obstacles. Practice riding your motorcycle; get comfortable with your motorcycle, especially if it's one you've never been on.
